The polytechnic Fontys Eindhoven asked us to organize a workshop about Scrum. Goal was to let students experience Scrum and of course to have fun.

The first thing that came to my mind was building something with Lego bricks. The idea was not new, and after some Googling I found the site http://www.lego4scrum.com/. The blog describes a workshop to experience Scrum by using Lego brick. The site is created by +Alexey Krivitsky.
I used the concept of +Alexey Krivitsky as basis for my workshop. The major change was adding a retrospective to the simulation. I believe a retrospective is one of the essential parts of Scrum/Agile.

You can download the workshop and materials and use it in your organization. The materials are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License.
Materials:
- Presentation to be used during the workshop
- Document describing the approach (also containing the user stories and poker cards)
We did a pilot at RES Software and a successful workshop at Fontys with 40 students. It was a great experience to see 40 young IT Students playing with Lego. They started a little bit reserved. However, after the first sprint they were fully committed to build a beautiful city!
Feel free to use the materials and please give your feedback.
